Riverdale is an American drama series based on the comics of Archie Comics. This series is produced by Warner Bros and first released in 2017. Riverdale is narrated by Cole Sprouse who is performing the role of Jughead Jones and the main characters are Kj Apa, Camila Mendes, Lili Reinhert and many more.
The show starts with the murder of a innocent teenage boy in the town of Riverdale and this incident shook up the whole town. The name of the victim is Jason Blossom who is a student of Riverdale High School. The main characters of this series tries to unveil the murderer.
During in the break of summer Archie Andrews found that he could do something good with music and he is actually quite good at it. The sweet girl next door Betty is in love with Archie but couldn’t express her love to him. After the summer break a new girl joined in the class of Archie named Veronica, the only daughter of a millionaire businessman Hiram Lodge. After Archie first saw her he develops feeling for Veronica and Veronica also develops feeling for Archie. Archie’s former best friend Jughead Jones writing a book of that eventful summer and why he and Archie aren’t best friend anymore. Kevin Keller son of Sheriff Keller discovers the body of Jason Blossom in the lake with a gunshot wound to the head.
In a party Archie kisses Veronica and this breaks Betty’s heart. Betty refuses to be friend with Veronica and Archie. Meantime Jughead accidentally finds out the secret relationship between Archie and their music teacher miss Grundy. Police arrests Cheryl Blossom due to evidence from Jason’s autopsy.
Cheryl admits to Sheriff Keller that she only helped Jason to run away from his home and fake his drowning. Betty’s mother Alice runs a local newspaper company. Betty is upset and angry upon her mother for the way she is attacking Blossom’s family.
Veronica dated a guy from the school’s football team Chuck Clayton and he started to slut shaming her. Later Betty, Veronica and Cheryl works together to find evidence against Chuck and some other students who slut shames girls. The found a diary with the list of girls who got insulted and the guys who insulted the girls. Shockingly Jason’s name was there.
Sheriff Keller discovers that all of his evidence in connection with Jason's murder has been taken. Before leaving his temporary house in full view of the gang boss, who turns out to be his father, Jughead vandalizes the projectionist's booth. Clifford and Penelope are furious at Cheryl for assisting Jason in fleeing, but she speaks at Jason's memorial ceremony, eventually breaking down throughout her speech while wearing the white dress she wore the day he left. Betty discovers that her family has despised the Blossoms since their ancestor murdered great-grandfather Cooper decades ago. Archie is appointed captain, but declines to focus on his music. Jughead and Betty conclude that her father, Hal, is the one who stole the sheriff's evidence.
